Our usual great crowd were joined by Senator Grant, Representative Holt, Sheriff Markley and School Board member Dave Belton. Reception for Congressman Paul Broun Clarence and Kathy Whiteside hosted a reception for Congressman Paul Broun at their beautiful home on March 24. Congressman Broun spoke of the many challenges facing our country today and stressed the need to get our fiscal house in order. County Convention The Morgan County Republican Party County Convention was held on Saurday, March 12. New officers elected at the convention were Ken Howard, Chairman, Dave Belton, Vice Chairman, Trish Jones, Treasurer, and Betsy Quillin, Secretary. SEEN IN MORGAN! The celebration of the Christmas season was marred by the sad news of the sudden passing of our friend and Commissioner, Sammy Cathey. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family. Sammy was a true man of honor and will be missed deeply by all those who knew him.
